Diving in head first.

Week 3 day 4.

Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8ff. (NIV)

I remember coming across this quote 3 times within a short span of 5 days just last year. Somehow, this quite has always been a reminder of how to treat the people around me, to love. In fact, God to me is someone overflowing with love, oozing out of every pore, telling me that He's always there for me. Loving someone we know and on good terms is easy. But what about the nasty people around us? Think of Christ. He loved. Every single one around him. Hard to model ain't it? I remember having a friend saying this once, " when someone slaps you, turn your cheek the other side and let it be slapped too, praying for the person at the same time". That to me, is the hardest thing ever. A really tough challenge indeed.

  1. i came across this quote in tumblr which requoted your thoughts into perspective:

"Do you know the feeling of loving someone who does not love you in return?

    IT HURTS right?

That's how GOD feels most of the time.

    Think about it. "

for one, i totally agree wiht you about praying for that person after being being slapped. boy is it difficult. loving unCONDITIONALLY sounds impossible but

where there is God, there is Love.

and with God, all things are possible. just as long as you BELIEVE and HAVE FAITH.
(thta was advice for me btw =D)
